Motivation - Paranoia

I've been looking for the sort of motivation that'll be able to kick me into the next gear. The next part of my life. Sometimes I get too complacent, and don't look forward enough. To a certain extent, yes, I do look ahead, but I'm not really doing the full planning that is needed to accomplish those goals; realistic goals.

As all of us need to do, or, at least, those of us who want to advance, to better ourselves, and our lives. What do we need to push us into that next stage? To get the inspiration to accomplish said goals?

Sometimes I'm not really sure. Love? Family? Power? Fame? Knowledge?

For me, it's always been a combination of love and knowledge. Respect, also, to a certain extent. I want everyone to look up to me; my family, my significant other, my friends, random people I meet. Yes, I have accomplished that to some degree. In that, many of the new EMTs whom I work with, tend to have a higher opinion of me. However, I feel that this high opinion tends to lose it's power over time. On bad days, I can come off as insecure, unsure, and possibly even unknowledgeable about life, and maybe even my field.

These are things that many of us need to work on, and things that I most certainly do. Hopefully, we can find the answers to these problems, and fix them as we go along. Yes, it'll take time, but anything worthwhile takes time.

I just finished watching the movie "Paranoia" starring Liam Hemsworth. This movie motivated me to a certain extent; it helped to get some gears turning.

In the morning, I've got some plans that I'll write about later. Some things to help get myself on the way to what I need to be. I.e, the future me.

P.S. I just had an awesome idea. A way to keep myself accountable. Possibly, I could link this to my facebook, and add a schedule of my activities, to keep myself honest in terms of what I'm going to do with my life. Ways to better. By having other people weigh in, this possibly will get me going in the direction that I need to go. I believe that Tim Ferriss advocates it at some point in the 4 Hour Body. We'll see if it works for me as well.
